This training is for families or individuals that want a more private experience learning about the types of drugs, symptoms, effects on the body and mind, and how to prevent use by youth and adults.  This training is designed for families that want their children to learn about drugs at home with them, so they can learn together and improve communication.

Our private trauma-informed care training provides personalized guidance on supporting individuals with trauma histories in a safe and respectful manner.  It covers the basics of trauma—its types, prevalence, and effects on the brain and body—as well as common responses like fight, flight, freeze, and fawn.

The training focuses on six key principles: safety, trustworthiness, choice, collaboration, empowerment, and cultural humility, with practical examples tailored to the participant’s work. It also offers strategies to recognize signs of trauma, avoid retraumatization, and maintain supportive communication. The session concludes with a discussion on self-care, emotional boundaries, and resources for ongoing learning.

Our trauma-informed yoga classes are designed to create a safe, supportive environment that empowers participants with choice and emphasizes gentle, accessible movements, with options offered rather than directives, and avoids hands-on adjustments to respect personal boundaries. The instructor maintains a calm, predictable tone and clearly communicates transitions to reduce anxiety. Breathwork is approached with care, allowing participants to engage at their own comfort level. Above all, the focus is on creating a space where students can reconnect with their bodies in a way that feels safe, respectful, and grounding. Private training for families or individuals that want to learn how to identify an opioid overdose and properly administer Nalxone/Narcan to prevent death of themselves, a family member, or other person that is overdosing.  Additional Narcan is available for free from our office if requested.

Private one-on-one meetings with the CEO to review and improve your resume and improve your job interview skills.  The CEO, Joseph Gill, has interviewed and hired hundreds of candidates in his roles with the US Government as well as the private sector. In addition, the ABA will assist with job placement and workforce development trainings.

• Summary: 

ABA staff will visit your residence or business and design a garden layout, plant selection, and organic practices such as composting and pest control. Will also assist in designing rainwater collection systems, including barrels or cisterns, and passive harvesting techniques like swales and berms. Efficient irrigation and possible greywater use are discussed, along with features that support soil health and pollinators. The visit includes time for questions and includes educational handouts for further learning.
