ETHICAL GOVERNANCE & NEPOTISM POLICY

At the Arizona Border Alliance, we are committed to integrity, accountability, and strong governance.

To uphold these values, we enforce a strict nepotism policy that prohibits family members from serving on the Board of Directors together or holding staff or contract roles within the organization. This policy promotes fairness, transparency, and merit-based decision-making while minimizing the risk of conflicts of interest or favoritism.

By prioritizing impartial leadership and professional standards, we foster trust among stakeholders and ensure that all actions reflect the best interests of the organization and the communities we serve.

All Arizona Border Alliance Board Members serve with defined term limits to promote accountability, encourage fresh perspectives, and prevent stagnation. Regularly welcoming new members brings diverse experiences and ideas to the table, reducing the risk of complacency and limited viewpoints. Term limits also support intentional succession planning, prevent the consolidation of power, and help ensure the board remains representative of the communities we serve.
